Position Overview

Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of restaurant production. Displays and presentations of all items designated by sous chef for service. All mise en place completed to the satisfaction of supervisor and or sous chef.

The Role

To produce a consistent and high quality product, provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Capella Bangkok Standards of Performance.

To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.

To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Kitchen Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.

To handle all HACCP forms for your area on a daily basis.

To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.

Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Chef.

Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.

Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all working equipment

Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in chillers, and all storage area.

Talent Profile

1. High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.

2. A minimum one (1) year experience in culinary field.

3. Ability to communicate in English/Thai with guest, co-workers and management to their understanding.

4. Previous tournant experience or knowledge of grill, sauté, garde manger, soups, pastry and vegetable prep.

5. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
