Position Overview

Digital Marketing Manager lives and breathes digital marketing. You will work to a brief agreed with Director of Marketing Communications, Director of Revenue Management and Director of Sales & Marketing to develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. Have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution on time and on budget. The digital marketing plan must be measurable and revenue-driven. Ensure to be an early adopter and champion for innovation, especially in the area of digital and social media marketing. Your social media contents, activities and campaigns should be one-of-a-kind, creative and engaging. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

The Role

  1. Together with Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Marketing Communications, plan and develop promotional and communications strategies via online channels to maximize Capella Bangkok's brand visibility and revenue.
  2. Work closely with DOMC, Revenue Manager and DOSM to ensure all online programs and systems are fully maximized as well as create room packages and track production closely.
  3. Be an early adopter and champion for innovation, especially in the area of online marketing and channel engagement.
  4. Ensure the annual Digital Marketing and Social Media Plan are strategic and measurable and are able to be adjusted along with the business needs.
  5. Ensure all product information is correct in all forms of online communication.
  6. Website: Ensure all contents and photos are updated. Upload promotions, offers and menus in a timely manner.
  7. SEO: Coordinate with an appointed agency to continue improving Search Engine Optimization for Capella Bangkok website through on-site optimization, off-site optimization, Google My Business, search word purchase and utilization.
  8. TripAdvisor Business Listing: Ensure all contents and photos are accurate and updated. Coordinate with DORM to publish a special room package and update it in a timely manner. Update special announcement as applicable.
  9. Ensure all contents and photos for Guest Confirmation Letter, post-stay email and cancellation email are accurate and updated. Set-up relevant offers to recommend to each guest according to their preference, type of stay, etc.
  10. EDM: Create and blast out electronic direct mail to relevant database and come up with a strategy to increase the database continuously.
  11. OTA: Ensure all contents and photos on all online travel agency websites are accurate and updated at all time. Maintain and build good relationship with OTAs market managers to leverage on partnerships.
  12. Digital Advertising: Coordinate with an appointed agency and Director of Revenue Management to improve traffic and revenue from web-internal channel through SEM, Google Adword, Display Media (PPC), MetaSearch and remarketing campaign. Ensure all contents, photos and artworks are on brand and accurate.
  13. Plan and execute social media strategies and calendar for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LINE@, Weibo, WeChat, etc.
  14. Respond to enquiries through social media channels within 24 hours.
  15. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  16. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  17. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  18. Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
  19. Deliver enthusiastic, positive, helpful and respectful client communication, ensuring precise and effective information transfer.
  20. Be the brand ambassador of the hotel, ensure all materials comply with the brand standards and all creative follows the brand direction.
  21. Carries out special projects as assigned by DOMC and DOSM.
  22. Attend daily line-ups and communicate daily challenges with the rest of the team.
  23. Co-operate with all departments within Capella Bangkok.
  24. Be flexible with your tasks within reason; lateral service of all of our associates is expected.
  25. To maintain the strictest confidentiality on all matters relating to Capella Bangkok plus all other sales and personnel related matters.
  26. In addition, other duties may be required as directed by DOMC/DOSM and / or General Manager and assigned markets may be changed due to a shift in market developments.

Talent Profile

  1. Have a full understanding of digital marketing
  2. Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
  3. Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  4. Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  5. Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  6. Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture)
  7. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  8. Possess excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
  9. Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
  10. Possess the ability to keep information confidential
  11. Ability to work in high-stress environments, often for long hours
  12. A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  13. Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  14. Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  15. Professionalism regarding time and deadlines.
