Position Overview

Provide timely, accurate and friendly responsive service to our guests. Create a pleasant and memorable experience for our guests. Primary objective is to provide excellent service to guests. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment.


The Role

1. Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.

2. Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

4. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

5. Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.

6. Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.

7. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

8. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

9. Set tables according to type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.

10. Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol.

11. Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.


Talent Profile

1. General Certificate of Education / Diploma, preferably in Hospitality or Restaurant Management.

2. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a similar role in luxury resort / hotel.

3. Good command in written and spoken English.

4. Good computer literacy especially Microsoft Office.

5. Working knowledge of restaurant management system (e.g. MICROS POS).

6. Excellent communicator with personable character.

7. A team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations,

8. Acute attention to details.

9. Positive "can do" attitude and flexible approach.

10. Self-motivated and independent.
